Abstract: In Japan as recently as 1991 TakoTsubo recognized as a syndrome, the physicians noted the characteristic changes in Left Ventricular apical ballooning similar to an octopus trap. Tako meaning Octopus and Tsubo meaning Japanese trap pot.
