Recherche d'emploi en présence de contrats de travail de courte durée: modélisation et estimation sur données individuelles

Denis Fougere

Annals of Economics and Statistics, 1989, issue 14, 225-257

Abstract: This paper formulates a model of job-search in which any labor contract supplied by an employer is jointly defined by a wage level and an expected duration; more precisely, it analyses the case in which there are two types of labor contracts, each one being characterized by specific distributions for wages and durations. Structural parameters of this model are estimated from a sample of individula unemployment spells, which may be ended with acceptance of either a short-tem or a long-term contract.
