La fonction de demande de biens collectifs: Théorie et application
Pierre-André Chiappori
Annals of Economics and Statistics, 1990, issue 19, 27-42
Abstract:
In this paper, I investigate the properties of the aggregate demand function for a collective good, when the collectivity takes Pareto-efficient decisions and income distributions are observable. A close duality relationship is shown to exist between this problem and the traditional problem of characterizing aggregate market demand for private goods. A general, indeterminacy result is derived, and is applied to the particular case of a collective model of household labour supply.
