Croissance et structure du système productif dans une économie log-linéaire

Jérôme Glachant

Annals of Economics and Statistics, 1995, issue 39, 33-66

Abstract: By studying the competitive growth path of a multisectoral linear logarithmic economy à la Long and Plosser [1983], this article provides a generalization of the results obtained by Rebelo [1991]. We show that, in an economy characterized by constant returns to scale and the presence of a non-reproducible factor of production, endogenous growth implies a property of decomposability of the productive system. We characterized this decomposition by providing some properties dealing with the growth rates vector, the role played by the non-reproducible factor, the convergence of national economies and the competitive price system.
