Abstract:
In this issue of EEEP we present six papers from Japan on the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, which resulted in severe loss of life and economic destruction. The subsequent nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant led to prolonged disruption to the Japanese electricity system due to the closure of all of its nuclear power generation.
