Abstract:
E-commerce development gives impulse to the process of globalization by exceeding the barriers of the traditional commerce. An E-commerce site can be used by the firms and consumers having an Internet connection from all over the world. E-commerce has two main components: the Business-to-Business component, within there are transactions among firms, and Business-to-Consumer commerce with transactions between traders and final consumers. Specialists estimate that in the following years the Business-to-Business commerce will have a greater development than the Business-to-Consumer commerce. Market analysis office Forrester Research estimates that in 2006 the online transactions among the Eu firms will represent 22% out of the total volume of the commerce in this area. In Romania, the level of the online sales and services keeps growing, even if it is under the EU average level. The development possibilities of the Romanian E-commerce is very high, taking into consideration the volume and the dynamic of the transactions in 2004.
