Abstract: Romania is one of the most attractive countries, in terms of investment in green energy, and this is due both to the green energy potential and to green energy system promotion based on green certificates. This study presents the results of an environmental cost-benefit analysis that was made on a wind farm example. Forecasting costs and revenues was performed for a period of 23 years and relied on the use of inflation rate for obtaining the discount rate. The need of using renewable energy sources requires cost-benefit analysis in this area, to show all the impacts and especially the profitability of a wind park in order to attract more investors in Romania.
