Abstract: Rural development is a major problem in our country. EU Member, Romania has formally aligned its policies in regional, local, agriculture (economic) and administrative-territorial areas to the EU regulations; we point out, however, that between European norms set and their implementation, a considerable distance remains still pending. Our brief analysis cannot exclude the context of economic, social and institutional crisis in the EU.
