USING SAS ENTERPRISE GUIDE SOFTWARE IN CLASSIFICATION

Abstract: Data mining, also known as "discovery knowledge in large databases "is a modern and powerful information technology and communications tool that can be used to extract useful information but still unknown. This automates the process of discovery some relations and mixtures from the raw data and founded results could be incorporated into an automated decision support. This paper aims to present and perform the classification of European Union countries based on the social indicators calculated at the end of 2008, the classification was performed using SAS Enterprise Guide software. In the same time it is presented and the possible imbalances that may occur due to changes in the values of the indicators used in the analysis.
