Abstract:
Although the geopolitics of trade and financial cooperation is changing, the underlying economic principles of trade and international financing are not. For small open economies, these global changes, though daunting, offer unique opportunities to enhance their roles in international value chains. Drawing on Africa as a case study, this article explores four strategic scenarios for decision-makers navigating this evolving landscape.
