Abstract: Finance for development will play a critical and central role in global development as environmental issues continue to take centre stage in global planning, implementation of projects and forecasting of future development trends. Key areas in sustainable finance will continue to feature in critical areas including social finance, carbon finance, green bonds, climate finance, agricultural value-chain finance, to name just a few. These will be areas where the Chartered Institute of Development Finance will continue to make significant impact. The Institute will continue to work in partnership with Development Finance Institutions, Associations of Development Finance Institutions, Central Banks, Economic clusters of governments, NGOs, commercial & investments banks, and other stakeholders to strengthen development finance professionalism, research, and networks across the world.
