Abstract:
The importance of financing renewable energy consumption in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) builds on relevant scholarly and policy fundamentals which have been recently documented in Fotio, Nchofoung and Asongu (2022). According to the narrative, in spite of the evolving attention being paid to the importance of renewable energy in driving economic prosperity and by extension, sustainability of the environment, in SSA, its adoption has been relatively low compared to other sub-regions and continents in the world. The study by Fotio et al. (2022) explores channels by which to improve installed renewable energy capacity in SSA.
