Abstract: Most economies in Asia (South Korea, Malysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand etc) started with similar GDP Per Capita as most African countries in the 1960s. In fact Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania Senegal, Singapore, Malysia, Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia had similar GDP Per Capital in 1965. The Table below provides the GDP Per Capita of these countries in 1965 and compared that to corresponding DGP per capita in 2022.
