Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze, comparatively, the global 2008 economic crisis influence regarding Minas Gerais (MG) and Rio Grande do Norte (RN) municipal fiscal conditions (resources gap), in the period 2001/2014. Methodologically, it used the static panel data model to measure search results. Finally, the paper pointed that the analyzed municipalities had similar behavior, whose spotlight proceeded of the revenue expansion after 2008 and greater fiscal dedication with civil servant expenses in the context of the municipal resources gap in the states considered.
