Abstract: The present article aims to analyze the process of deindustrialization in Brazil, but from the regional perspective, more specifically, to analyze the impact of the Dutch disease on the processing industry of the states. In this sense, an attempt will be made to conceptualise the term deindustrialization that can be applied at the regional level. To analyze the impact of the Dutch disease, the method of panel data analysis was adopted.
