Abstract:
The paper illustrates the important role played by education and investment in education for a competent management of the processes involved in order to assure the quality of integration as a key factor for Romanian convergence and competitiveness. The paper focus on the five common European objectives for education and lifelong learning established by the European Commission to be met by 2010, as part of the Lisbon strategy.
