Abstract:
The current crisis has struck and still strikes most sectors of the economy. The question that is being asked is which are the areas and sectors that have the potential to withstand the crisis and to develop despite this adverse economic reality. Experience shows that creative industry in particular and creative economy in general has the ability to face the crisis challenges and to follow an upward trend. The paper summarizes the stake the creative economy presents in times of crisis and proposes a set of policies possible to be followed in order to support and promote the creative economy. The paper disseminates a part of the results obtained within CERES and IDEI 1224-two research projects dedicated to creative economy.
