Abstract:
The scope of this article is to analyze the factors that can influence the motor claims on the Romanian market and the methods through this can be analyzed and managed. The lack of statistical data that will validate the proposed model allow us to stress out the structural approach of the claims phenomenon and not to actually test the model. Besides the external causes (accidents, deaths etc., considered objective factors) that are responsable for motor claims, we included also the internal causes (operational risks at the level of insurance companies). The initial presumption was that is it is much easier to manage operational internal risks than to change the entire motorists' discipline.
