Abstract: The objective of this study is to collect and measure the impact of renewable sources on the development of the energy sector. This is done using a holistic macroeconomic framework. In particular, the study provides quantitative evidence on the macroeconomic effects of renewables on global energy deployment. In addition, it improves existing knowledge on the socioeconomic impact of renewable energy deployment globally. All relevant economic interactions are considered in a single quantitative framework in this study, which is based on macroeconomics.
