Abstract:
Integration into EU comes with some improvals regarding the prospects for the emerging markets to obtain an economic level in according to that present in industrialized countries. Romania, the future newest member of the area included in the sintagm European Union, without ignoring its specific policies concerning the openness degree, might traverse a process of capital increasing and technology flows. An important role in this capital stream is played by the investments made on the capital market, process which continues to sustain a high interest from behalf of private and non-private equity funds and also normal public. In this consideration, the increasing capitalmarket knowledges provided to common people is vital. This paper wish to stimulate the interest of Romanian population regarding to the opportunity provided by Stock exchange. It provides some basic definitions and usual calculation methods used on capital market, also arguments regarding these investments, new trends, capital flow related questions, the role of privatisation and basic rules for building an market portofolio.
