Abstract:
The overtime with respect to the normal working hours determined by law and organization rules are a source of apparent profit, but when exercised without a strict control leads to rapid “depreciation” of human resource, causing alienation and stress. Overtime abuse indicates ignorance of the main vector for growth and organizational and social development. Managers should make efforts to understand these fundamental truths instead of pushing the legal limits to risk rules reinforcements by the control authority.
