Abstract: Employment in the European Union is emerging as one of the most important coordinates of Member States of the European Union. At the moment, the idea is increasingly oriented labor market policies from mainly passive measures to active measures to stimulate employment. Active measures are those that enable job offer, improve its skills and enhance the search for jobs. In this paper, we analyzed European employment, to show the involvement of Member States in this field. Of course, that all 28 EU member states have a common goal to fight unemployment and its social effects and to increase employment, according to the European Strategy for Employment and Europe 2020. Therefore, we believe that this analysis is required to view our perspectives in this regard.
