Abstract: Career is a footprint of past accumulated experiences linked by different events: objective events (filling certain jobs, positions, functions, tasks, responsibilities, activities, decisions), and subjective events (beliefs, aspirations, expectations, values, needs and feelings) related experiences in a specific occupation, in time in organizations, that can change the course of a person's life. And because the career management requires obtaining new knowledge, experiences, skills, competencies, and because they can lead to achieving competitive advantage on the market, we aimed to show the role and the importance of such a process in organizations and to analyze its stages and their influence on career choice. Also, we intend to analyze the influence of some internal and external factors which could have on the effectiveness of career development, using a simulation model in order to see the strength of their relationship between the analyzed variables and of their impact.
