Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the potential patterns within European Union submodels, knowing the social and economic performances that characterizes them. Also, based on an econometric model with panel data, covering the period of 2000 to 2013, we want to highlight the relation between sub-models’ exports competitiveness and their sensitivity to the fluctuations of several factors considered relevant in this study, such as: the share of tertiary education graduates, the unit labour cost and the investments.
