Abstract: Information about the evolution of the food industry in Romania is of real use in having a wide perspective about the country's economy. Although the industry has been strewn with challenges, dominated by instability and uncertainty, due to the modernization of production technologies, the current context and the multitude of changes. The research questions that come to answer the general research objective are: What is the general evolution of the food industry in Romania? What are the particularities of the industry? Methodological research is based on specialized literature, problematization, comparison, analysis and synthesis.
