Abstract:
The U.S, sugar program Is under widespread attack. Vet it Is one of our most effective and cost-efficient agricultural commodity programs. It preserves the domestic sugarcane and sugar beet Industries and strengthens corn prices. It helps cut our historic trade deficit in sweeteners. And it does this at no cost to the Government, nor to consumers.
