Abstract:
We use a representative sample of the U.S. population to examine the typology of rice consumers. Our findings suggest that rice is mostly consumed in the United States by individuals of Asian origins, followed by those of Hispanic and Black origins, respectively. Asian individuals have the highest per capita consumption.
