American Bankers Association, 1996, vol. 09, issue 2

The first of a 2-part series on issues associated with lending to integrated agricultural producers is presented, including a background on changes occurring in production agriculture. It is suggested that financial standards and norms applied to traditional independent producers are of limited value in evaluating the financial position of integrated producers.
