Abstract:
Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the borrower was a major focus of the 1996 ABA National Ag Lenders Convention held in Kansas City. Recently, several articles have addressed the importance and profitability associated with developing a stronger relationship with the borrower. Retirement planning and investing services are discussed as methods of improving the lender-borrower relationship. Retirement planning is a largely-neglected function in personal financial management.
