Abstract:
CoBank continues its efforts to expand its powers by engaging in venture capital investing, something no FCS lender has ever done. The largest FCS institution, CoBank would achieve this objective by assuming the investment powers of the Alternative Agricultural Research and Commercialization Corp., a USDA entity that Congress has decided to stop funding.
