THE FINANCIAL PLANNING OF A FARM: A NEW DIRECTION

A. B. F. Rusch, P. C. van Rooyen, I. A. Walton and R. Wilsnach

Agrekon, 1991, vol. 30, issue 4

Abstract: The article first discusses the financial environment of the agricultural sector and then proceeds to a discussion of the credit assessment done by banks to ensure the viability of farming enterprises for lending purposes. Conclusions drawn are that farmers will have no other option but to keep better records to enable them to convince lending institutions of the viability of their enterprises.
