Abstract: The approaches to identify the essence and role of the agrifood market in environment of globalization of economy gained further development in the article. The Interpretation of category “agrifood market” improved on the basis of generalization of conceptual approaches, which unlike existing, means the totality of relationships, which is identified in time and place and provide to the sale of agricultural products, processed products and by-products that are combined in a complex hierarchy orderly structured system. This system encompasses subsystems and segments that can be related and unrelated to each other. It is grounded that agrifood market is one of the subsystems of the national market and, in turn, consists of a lower level subsystems, namely market of stockbreeding-industrial product; market of crop-industrial production; adverse market of by-products.
