M. Serajul Islam and Khandakar Qudrat - I Elahi

Bangladesh Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1993, vol. 16, issue 2, 09

Abstract: This paper examines the profitability of three major production technologies used in small-scale marine fishing in Bangladesh: gillnet, longline and setbag net. Net profit was positive in all technologies. But the profitability does not differ significantly among gears as indicated by the benefit-cost ratio.
