Abstract: In order to reconcile the farmer's new needs jor economic information and the restricted financial means, a method of wor\ has been adopted, based on the « master-sample ». Why and how has this master-sample been established? Vertical surveys based on the master-sample can be used for production prognostics in the short and intermédiate run.
