Abstract:
Three econometric models of the French farming sector have been worked out in the last few years : the CMTR model by the "Service d'Etude et de Synthèse" of the ministry of Agriculture, the SIMAGRI model by the "Direction de la Prévision" of the Finance ministry, and the INRA historico-statistical model. The results of this last model compared with the first two underline the need to improve present knowledge of the theory of supply in farming.
