La crise de la politique agricole commune affectera-t-elle les exportations françaises de produits agricoles et agro-alimentaires ?

Abstract:
The strong and weak points of french agriculture on the international market : which competitors and in what political context ? - French agricultural and food exports developped under the shelter of protection provided by the Common Agricultural Policy. This expert judgement does not seem questionable in spite of the uncertainty about the exact role of prices in this development. The pressures presently exerted on the CAP make keeping the status quo, in terms of agricultural protection very difficult and therefore highly unlikely. Are as result French agricultural exports threatened? Given the lack of sufficient research, it is difficult to settle this question. The partial information which are available suggest that for wheat, a portion of French production at least should be competitive.
