Abstract: Since 1958, important efforts have been undertaken by workers unions in order to fill the gap between general and agricultural legislations in the field of social protections. In general, they have been successful/, making french agricultural workers among the best protected against all kind of social risk. However, the number of wage workers has been rapidly shinking, due to the reduction of agricultural labour requirements, as well as many regulations favouring occupational shifting : as a consequence, their already weak borgaining assets have been even more weakened. Recently, a new dialogue has been developed through the emergence of adult educational structures. Will this development, and the corresponding creation of new agricultural wage workers organization, be sufficient to secure the social parity of this group, so backly hit by the recent evolution of agriculture ?
