Les effets indirects des monopoles en matiere de protection et de subvention

Veronique Borzeix and Stephan Marette

Économie rurale, 2002, vol. 267

Abstract: This article analyses the State Trading influence on international trade. After the presentation of some data regarding both imports and exports, the Canadian Wheat Board role is detailed. Then, the main effects of State Trading enterprises for the exports are introduced. We insist on mechanisms that determine both export and domestic prices. The equivalence between the pooling price promoted by these organizations and the export subsidies are underlined.
