Comparative studies with labeled herbicides on woody plants

Abstract: The spot treatments of 2,4-D*, 2,4,5-T*, ATA*, MH*, urea*, and monuron* to active phloem of manzanita, toyon, and buckeye growing in the field proved that the first two are consistently absorbed and translocated in the phloem. Peak movement followed the season’s flush growth. The other compounds were more generally carried away by the transpiration stream.
