Tree volume equations and tables from dendrometer measurements: II. Young growth gross volume tables for Sierra redwood [Sequoia gigantea (Lindl.) Decne]

Richard L. Schoenheide and Lee C. Wensel

Hilgardia, 1971, vol. 41, issue 4

Abstract: In the first paper, the procedures are developed to compute tree volume equations from field measurements taken with a Barr and Stroud optical dendrometer. The computer programs used to perform all of the calculations are briefly described. The volume equations developed for young growth Sierra redwood are also reported, together with a discussion of the validity of these equations.
