Abstract:
The paper poses the following questions: (i) What is the nature of risk associated with rainfall? (ii) Is there any associated between the reactions of the farmer as seen from extent of cropping and cropping pattern and the level of rainfall? (iii) What is the degree of loss incurred by the farmer due to uncertain rainfall?
