How Midwestern Farmers Rate Risk Management Practices

Eric Micheels and Peter Barry

Journal of the ASFMRA, 2005, vol. 2005, 7

Abstract: This article utilizes a farmer survey to analyze the relationships between farm business structure and the importance farmers place on risk management practices. The strongest relationships occur between farm size and risk management, while rating differences across age of operator, tenure, and use of debt are less pronounced.
