Abstract:
This paper includes a review and an analysis of current status and outlook(2005∼2013) of world rice supply and demand. The OECD-aglink model is used for this study. OECD-aglink model is a recursive dynamic demand-supply partial equilibrium model of the world agricultural sector. The model was developed by the OECD secretariat in cooperation with member countries during 1993 and has been used to carry out the OECD world agricultural outlook and simulate for various policy analysis.
