Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the current status of food consumption and nutrition intake among those in the socially vulnerable group including low income households. As a result of the analysis, the elderly living alone in the small rural areas should be considered as the first priority for food assistance programs. In order to improve their nutritional status meat, vegetables, milk and eggs must be provided for them. The government food aid programs should be aimed to ensure a sustainable food supply to the nation while striving to build connections to local agricultural industry and food producers in order to enhance access to safe and fresh foods. The food support method should be chosen after comprehensive consideration of various factors including the physical conditions of the recipient and the accessibility to food suppliers.
