Problem of innovative development in the conditions of raw sector prevalence in economy

Abstract: The author calls to consider the innovative development in connection with resource-related economic structure of national economy. It s proposed that resource-rich countries in general case lack innovative development capacity in compare with the countries which are dependent on imports of raw-materials. The paper argues that Russia has to change its development strategy shifting from labor-intensive and resource-based model.
