DESENVOLVIMENTO RURAL DOS MUNICÍPIOS DA REGIÃO SUDOESTE PARANAENSE: UMA PROPOSTA DE MEDIDA ATRAVÉS DA ANÁLISE FATORIAL

Abstract: O tema desenvolvimento precisa ser permanentemente tratado. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se com este trabalho mensurar o índice de desenvolvimento do setor rural dos municípios da região sudoeste paranaense, por meio da análise fatorial. Os resultados mostraram que, numa escala de zero a 100, o índice médio de desenvolvimento situou-se em 26,63, o que resultou num total de 16 municípios (43,24%) acima desse valor e 21 (56,76%) abaixo desse índice. O fato de que mais da metade dos municípios se encontra no grau de baixo desenvolvimento rural mostra-se preocupante, uma vez que, em se tratando de municípios com perfil agrícola, os resultados apontam que nem mesmo a estrutura básica para o desenvolvimento da atividade mostrou-se satisfatória, sugerindo a necessidade de medidas no sentido de minimizar os efeitos gerados pelos aspectos que mais influenciaram o fenômeno em estudo, considerando as especificidades locais. ----- The theme development needs to be constantly discussed. Therefore, this study aimed to measure the development rate of the rural sector of municipalities from southwest region of Paraná, through factor analysis. The results showed that, on a scale of zero to 100, the development average rate came to 26.63, resulting in a total of 16 municipalities (43.24%) above this value and 21 (56.76%) below this rate. The fact that more than half of the municipalities is in the low level of rural development that shows worrying, since, in the case of municipalities with agricultural profile, the results indicate that even the basic framework for the development of the activity showed satisfactory, suggesting the need of measures to minimize the effects generated by the aspects that influence the phenomenon under study, considering local specificities.
