Abstract:
Over the period 1995-2013 Polish brewing sector showed a dynamic increase. Ownership and technological development supported with foreign investments and changes in the pattern of alcohol consumption triggered the growth of production and per capita consumption of beer. Currently Polish market has almost reached a breakeven point saturation with per capita consumption one of the highest in Europe and its further development of the market will not be as dynamic as it used to be previously. Despite a bulk increase after 2004 beer exports is of minor importance for breweries. Further development then will require mainly larger the before expenditure on marketing in order to gain new customers (for instance flavoured beers).
