Abstract: The study present a comparative assessment of economic and production efficiency of 50 farms specializing in milk production, based on selected production and economic indicators. The study was conducted in 2012. Principal indicators of the estimation of dairy farms were: production effects, farm income, personal income and income parity. The analysis of tested dairy farms located in different habitats showed the diversity of farms in context of the criteria for sustainable production and economic. A higher level of the most production indexes and the level of agricultural income per unit of surface obtained by farms operating on better soils.
