Abstract: The article presents the use of EU funds obtained under the Operational Programme “Sustainable Development of the Fisheries Sector and Coastal Fishing Areas 2007-2013” (OP Fishery) in the Lodz region. In the study area beneficiaries implemented 179 projects with a total value of approx. 63 million PLN. The largest number of projects were carried out by natural persons engaged in fisheries activities, however, the highest value have reached investment projects implemented by the companies. OP Fishery has also contributed to the improvement of social infrastructure and the revitalization of the village and the implementation of a number of events integrating local communities.
