Abstract: The aim of study was to investigate the inhabitants’ selected attitudes related to globalization, which contributes to changing rural areas in Central Pomerania (Poland 2015); according to the management of development this areas. Research on inhabitants’ attitudes was conducted on a 216 representative group of people. The questionnaire-based interview method was used at the turn of the year 2014/2015. Continuation of the traditional pattern of behaviour, underestimation of knowledge-skills-qualifications for improving the standard of living, low activity in consuming rural tourism products were identified. Study results indicate that systematic optimization of operational management of the region is purposeful. Especially greater use of management tools: methods and measurements of efficiency, effectiveness, and rationality.
